Panasonic Cordless Telephones
DECT 6.0 Plus Phones

When asked for advice on the best cordless phones, we generally recommend Panasonic cordless telephones. In most categories they are the top rated cordless phones with features and functionality well in advance of alternatives.

When comparing Panasonic phones with alternatives, it's essential to make sure that you are looking at the latest models. They can be identified by the DECT 6.0 Plus on the base station. They are the latest generation of Panasonic cordless telephones with an enhanced implementation of DECT 6.0 technology.

DECT 6.0 Plus Phones

DECT 6.0 Plus phones have an extensive range of features that are exclusive to Panasonic, they include:

  • The ability to block unwanted calls
  • Talking caller ID - announces who is calling
  • Silent mode - enables users to silence individual handsets between set hours
  • Choicemail - visually scan voicemail messages using voice to text technology
  • Table top or wall mount cordless phone

Cordless Phone Range

Range Boost - the latest Panasonic cordless telephones also have greater range than standard DECT 6.0 phones. As a rule of thumb it's about fifty percent greater, even before using an optional range extender.

Add one or more range extenders and you have a serious long range cordless phone with very impressive coverage.

The KX-TG4053B comes with a range extender, but they can be added to most models in the line up.

Call Clarity

It's clear from reading hundreds of reviews and our experience that DECT 6.0 Plus phones have exceptional call clarity. Siemens cordless phones are similarly impressive in this department, but at a much higher price.

Eco-mode

Panasonic phones aren't unique in reducing power consumption as handsets get closer to the base unit. However they are one of few brands that use standard re-chargeable AA's instead of proprietary battery packs that are sold at sold at inflated prices. It's about time that all cordless phone manufacturers followed this example.

Bluetooth Cordless Phones

Panasonic Cordless Telephone

DECT 6.0 Plus technology has been incorporated into most of Panasonic's recent releases including those with Bluetooth. The KX-TG7645M is Panasonic's latest Link-to-Cell cordless phone. It's pretty much the benchmark in this niche. Pairing with cell phones is is fast and reliable. They will link with cell phones and or Bluetooth earphones / headsets. Bluetooth range is impressive.

Cordless Home Phones

Our only reservation about Panasonic cordless phones relates to a matter of personal taste. With few exceptions they're all black, which is OK in an office, but not so cool around the home. With the exception of Siemens cordless phones most manufacturers also follow the example set by Henry Ford.

Summary

Panasonic cordless telephones outsell all other brands, even though they are not the cheapest phones. We have no hesitation in recommending them to others as they are very unlikely to be disappointed.
